Call for Families to Boycott Amazon over Pedophile Guide

Media Release 11 November 2010
Family First NZ is calling on New Zealanders to boycott Amazon.com and to let them know of their action until they remove a book entitled “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure – A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct.”

“It is disgraceful that Amazon has not taken this action automatically and it suggests something about their priorities of profit over the more important issue of the welfare and protection of children,” says Bob McCoskrie, National Director of Family First NZ.

“The description of the book says ‘This is my attempt to make pedophile situations safer for those juveniles that find themselves involved in them, by establishing certain rules for these adults to follow. I hope to achieve this by appealing to the better nature of pedosexuals, with hope that their doing so will result in less hatred and perhaps liter sentences should they ever be caught’.”

“This book is sending a dangerous message and undermining the social prohibition against seeing children as sexual objects and sexually attractive, and show that profits are currently more important than protecting the wellbeing of our children. It’s unfathomable that a book normalising paedophilia should be available to purchase on such a mainstream site.”

“We’re asking kiwis who have an account with Amazon.com to refuse to do any further purchases with Amazon until they withdraw the book,” says Mr McCoskrie.

We should be protecting our kids not advocating for pedophiles. This is shocking beyond belief. I will be making sure the hundreds of people in my world will be informed of Amazon’s stance to publish such immoral literature and will not be buying any further products from amazon until this situation is rectified and the book retracted

Ubelieveably and outrageously disgusting. Add in lowest of the low. Only slim possibility of a redemption could be a policing of the purchasers of the book being monitored.
