Dunne’s Dictionary for Dummies

According to United Future’s Peter Dunne

“Moral jihadist”
(a) someone wanting to reduce the number of abortions. One who speaks up for the rights of the unborn child
(b) someone who believes that prostitution is sexual exploitation and abuse of women, and destructive to the attitudes of men who ‘purchase’ the bodies of women for their sexual pleasure
(c) someone who thinks that a smack on the bottom is not child abuse, and that the laws should target the rotten parents – not good parents raising great kids

“Extremist”
(a) someone who seeks to represent the views of 87% of the public on an issue – in this case, opposing the anti-smacking law

Footnote: Before 2011, Peter Dunne voted against the decriminalisation of prostitution, voted for parental notification for teen abortions, voted against civil unions, voted for the marriage amendment defining marriage as one man and one woman. Who’s the moral jihadist now?

Oh, and this

Does anyone have a definition for “flip-flop“?

Don’t be too hard on Peter Dunne – he has probably “evolved” or asked a teenager.
I understand that is the prevailing reason for flip flopping…….

After this I am not quite sure what Dunne actually is in parliament for, what is he really saying?

I don’t see why we shouldn’t blast Dunne as hard as he deserves! Basically he’s the Ayatollah of Fundamentalist Liberalism issuing his cretinous “fatwas” against anyone who looks at the real issues in our society with open eyes, free of the PC rhetoric that clouds his vision and befouls his puny mind. The man’s a PC bigot to be consigned to the dustbin of electoral history very soon!

There, I feel much better now.

    Hi Bob,
I went to Peter Dunne’s Parliament webb site and left him an email. I asked him if opposing abortion and wanting to empower good parents’ right to smack their own children is a moral Jihard, then what is he?
Oh for a politician that has a moral backbone!!The lack of a moral standard is the reason for our nations problems today, in so many more places than just the obvious.
    Regards,
    Ron Gribble.

I’m embarrassed to say that I once, many moons ago, voted for this man. Never again!! Hate the inflammatory language used. Designed to attract attention, not to encourage proper thought.

I am so happy that I had Peter Dunn sized up from the early times. I must have pertty good character judgement? It seems that every “flowery” word that eminates from his mouth contradicts some previous statement or other he has made at one time. His agenda is pretty much about saying and doing anything he can to keep his “job”. He should be so arrogant to call 87% of the population “moral jihadists” whatever that is supposed to mean? Must have taken him some time to think up that one. What a complete tosser!!! Poor Clive, he must be cring ever time he remembers that he was actually associated in the same (United) party with this guy.

Once voted for Dunne. biggest mistake ever made. Stands for nothing that upholds and strenghtens a nation. lack of ethics,morals/ seems to bow down to anything to stay in parliament. shoots down good parents who only want to disipline a naughty child, like keys. any real moral jihadists is crucified for wanting something better than the abyis we have now
