Here’s yet another example of why we argued for the Three Strikes law in order to protect families

A Tokoroa gunman was a “nut case” with an extensive criminal record and known for his temper even as a teenager, residents said yesterday. Jamie Ginns, 32, kidnapped a 20-year-old woman after drinking at a bar on Friday and a day later shot his on-and-off partner, Mata Glassie, before he was found dead in bush on Saturday. …Detective Inspector Tim Anderson yesterday said Ginns had a long criminal history including domestic violence and wounding offences.
