Like us, you’re probably wondering what you can do to support families in Christchurch. Many families will be needing food, comfort, a place to stay or even advice on what to do next.
The Salvation Army has relaunched its Canterbury Earthquake Appeal. The Salvation Army have a team on the ground assessing the need following this second devastating earthquake. Donations will help them meet Cantabrians’ initial needs, including food parcels, water and shelter. They will also support families over the longer term, as they again come to deal with the flow-on effects of another earthquake.
The Salvation Army is accepting monetary donations and offers of volunteers. They are not requiring clothing at this time.
