Easter Sunday will stay shopping-spree free next year, with Nelson City Council voting to keep stores closed.
Nelson City Councillors voted at a meeting on Thursday to retain the status quo, meaning Nelson stores will not be allowed to trade on Easter Sunday, except for those businesses with exemptions under the Shop Trading Hours Act.
