Gay marriage question sparks backlash

Men’s fashion retailer Hallensteins has sparked outrage on social media after seemingly asking customers how they feel about gay marriage.
In a lengthy online customer survey, the company asked people questions to find out “a little bit more about what makes you tick”.
Customers were asked to rank their sentiment towards various statements, from strongly disagree, to neutral and strongly agree.
Among the statements was: “Marriage should be between a man and a women [sic].”
The question was removed on Saturday evening and the company behind the survey apologised for causing offence
