The Forum on the Family is coming up in August (Thursday 28th Friday 29th August) at the Due Drops Event Centre in Manukau City. This conference will bring together a national network of family-focused organisations, scholars, church & community leaders and individuals who are social conservatives. You are invited! Topic: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Trans Madness

[Dr Grossman last visited New Zealand in 2012 and was a keynote speaker at the Forum on the Family. Unfortunately she is unable to travel but we will be speaking to her via live video link from New York where she is currently based.]

Miriam Grossman MD is board certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. Before gender ideology was on anyone’s radar, she warned parents about it in her 2009 book about sexuality education, You’re Teaching My Child WHAT? She also authored our 2013 report R18: Sexuality Education in New Zealand – A Critical Review. Dr. Grossman’s practice focuses on gender-distressed young people and their parents. She believes that every child is born in the right body. Dr Grossman has been vocal about the capture of her profession by ideologues, leading to dangerous and experimental treatments on children and betrayal of parents. Dr Grossman is a Senior Fellow at DoNoHarmMedicine.org. The author of five books, her work has been translated into eleven languages. Her most recent book is Lost in TransNation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness (2023). She has testified in Congress and lectured at the British House of Lords and the United Nations. Dr. Grossman is featured in the Daily Wire’s What Is A Woman?, Fox Nation’s The Miseducation of America, and many other documentaries.  Her expert psychiatric opinion is sought for witness testimony and court reports.

Topic: When speaking your faith comes with a significant cost

They probably need no introduction! Israel ‘Isileli Folau is a professional dual-code rugby player who currently plays as a fullback for Japan Rugby League One club Urayasu D-Rocks. He earned 73 camps playing for the Wallabies, and was awarded the Rugby Australia John Eales Medal, the Wallabies’ Player of the Year recognition, a record three times, in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Solonaima Maria Folau (nee Tuta’ia) finished her career with 150 caps for the Silver Ferns, the second-most capped player for NZ. In 2019, Rugby Australia, which has a policy of inclusiveness, decided to exclude him (sacked for breach of contract) because of social media posts on his personal pages where he shared bible verses and his personal religious convictions.
