Stunning news as Texas bans all abortions beyond 6 six weeks of pregnancy. This is a watershed moment in the fight to save the lives of unborn babies, which is likely to see other conservative states pass similar laws. The new law also empowers any private citizen to sue anyone who “aids and abets” an illegal abortion. The legislation makes an exception in the case of medical emergency, which requires written proof from a doctor.
This is truly wonderful news for the Pro-Life movement and ultimately for unborn babies in the USA. The Texan law banning abortions beyond 6 weeks will surely see similar laws passed across other states.
This is what Texas Governor Greg Abbott said:
“Our creator endowed us with the right to life and yet millions of children lose their right to life every year because of abortion” …. “We worked together on a bipartisan basis to pass a bill that I’m about to sign that ensures that the life of every unborn child who has a heartbeat will be saved from the ravages of abortion.”
Most importantly, the US Supreme Court let this pass and has not overturned the Texan law, leaving the door wide open for other conservative states to follow suit.
Undoubtedly this is one to the most direct challenges to Roe vs Wade in nearly 40 years. It’s a watershed moment in the fight to save the lives of unborn babies.
