Call to Boycott TV ‘Bully’ Show

X factorMedia Release 16 March 2015
Family First NZ is calling on families to boycott the tv show X Factor New Zealand until judges Natalia Kills and Willy Moon are removed.

“X Factor is supposed to be a celebration of talent – not a demonstration of public bullying and humiliation. The show should be safe for families to watch but after media coverage of their offensive verbal stoush in Kingsland, the couple’s response to that coverage, and now the ugly behaviour on the show last night, it is clear that they are degrading what should be a positive watch for families,” says Bob McCoskrie, National Director of Family First NZ.

“At a time when schools and communities are doing all they can to prevent bullying and verbal abuse like this, X Factor is setting an atrocious example. Constructive feedback is one thing. Moon and Kills’ tirade was anything but constructive. It was playground bullying of the worst kind.”

“It’s time that families voted with their remote controls and sent a clear message to the producers of X Factor and to TV3 – change the judges.”
