McBlog: 500th episode
Stirring the nation since 2022. We check out the five most watched episodes on YouTube.
Show Script:
It’s our 500th episode.
McBlog started in February 2022.
I really had no idea what kind of audience we would build and whether we could sustain enough episodes to make it viable.
But there’s been no shortage of material.
So for today’s 500th episode, I’m just going to remind you of the five most watched episodes on YouTube
Now before I show you the top 5 McBlogs as viewed on YouTube, here’s the very first episode. February 2022
Entitled Naughty naughty words
Are you guilty of using “non-inclusive” language? Naughty you!! The University of Washington in Seattle has released a list of words to “replace racist, sexist, ageist, ableist, homophobic (add transphobic) or otherwise non-inclusive language”. Find out whether you’ve been a naughty boy… er….. girl….. er….. person.
And one of the banned words is “blackout”. Shocking word. So I did some investigating
So on to our 5 most popular McBlogs of all time – according to your views
At #5
It comes from July 2024
State broadcaster TVNZ’s Seven Sharp programme aren’t happy that drag queens aren’t allowed to read LGBT++ books to children, so they did some campaigning. It wasn’t what they showed that was the problem. It’s what they conveniently didn’t show – but we will.
Now the interesting thing is that the media never ask us to elaborate on why we oppose sexualised adult entertainment as role models for children. and in this episode I also show an online exchange on X (Twitter) that we had with Hillary Barry – where she struggles to justify presenting a drag queen as some sort of role model. Well, it’s just not possible, is it.
#4
From last November – and whenever I talk about the Greens, it’s always a winner.
Green Party goes from bad to worse (if that’s possible)
If you thought standards of dress were declining in Parliament (which they are), wait until you see and hear the newest Member of Parliament. It had to be a Green MP eh.
#3
From March 2023 – and following the Posie Parker debacle in Albert park when the peace loving trans activists showed up, and the police didn’t.
NZ panned by international media
NZ didn’t cover itself in glory with the horrendous scenes we saw with the Posie Parker “women’s rights” speaking tour which was shut down with violence. We check out the international coverage and commentary. It’s not pretty.
And the NZ media’s coverage was mocked by overseas media outlets.
Well of course Newshub is no more. And there was plenty of other examples of international media including Fox News, Sky News, kiwi journalist Dan Wooton who’s based in the UK, and Ben Shapiro from DailyWire.
#2
Last November when Donald Trump defied the odds, defied the polls, and defied the mainstream leftist media – and won the Presidency.
NZ media defeated by US election
Last week wasn’t a good week for the news media. Trump won. The media were defeated – in perhaps a mortal blow to their trust and integrity. X (formerly Twitter) is now the news platform of choice, as the mainstream media worldwide disappears in a cloud of distrust.
It’s worth watching that whole episode where I show all the examples the Trump Derangement Syndrome in the NZ media – including significant misrepresentations and twisting of stories.
And finally, #1. The most watched McBlog – gaining just under 200,000 views on YouTube alone. 9 days before the US presidential election
We speak to Vice-President Kamala Harris… sort of
So there we have it. The top 5 McBlogs as we reach episode #500.
Now I should just give special mention to one particular McBlog that went viral – but not on our YouTube channel – and that’s because the mainstream media talked about it – and downloaded their own copy and didn’t link to ours.
But that’s okay. Everyone saw it. This one.
Face the Media – Jessica then Tova
There’s even a cap for this one.
Thank you for your support, feedback, views.
Here’s to the first 500 episode. On to the next 500.
