Sacking Of Judges Good Decision for Families
Media Release 16 March 2015
Family First NZ is applauding a decision by X Factor New Zealand producers to replace judges Natalia Kills and Willy Moon.
“X Factor is supposed to be a celebration and showcasing of kiwi talent – not a demonstration of public bullying and humiliation. Constructive feedback is one thing. Moon and Kills’ tirade was anything but constructive. It was playground bullying of the worst kind,” says Bob McCoskrie, National Director of Family First NZ.
“At a time when schools and communities are doing all they can to prevent bullying and verbal abuse like this, X Factor was setting an atrocious public example.”
“We applaud this decision. X Factor is a show that many families love and should be able to enjoy with their children without the fear of objectionable content.”
